GAME ONE BOX SCORE
GAME TWO BOX SCORE

EAST STROUDSBURG - Tara Emery went 3-4 and drove in three runs to lead Bloomsburg University to a 6-3 win and a split of its doubleheader with East Stroudsburg on Monday.

Emery got Bloomsburg going in the nightcap by banging a bases loaded triple in the top of the first inning to give the Huskies a 3-0 lead. Emery later scored on a wild pitch to make it a 4-0 lead after a half inning. After East Stroudsburg got one run back in the bottom of the first, Bloomsburg made it 6-0 in the second inning with Lisa Bohner singling in one run and another scoring on an error.

The Warriors did get back to within 6-3 with a pair of runs in the third, but the Huskies only allowed two hits, both in the seventh inning, to earn the win.

In game one, the Huskies fell behind by a 2-0 score in the bottom of the second inning, only to tie the score with a pair of runs in the third. Bohner had the big hit for the Huskies, a two-run homer, in the inning.

East Stroudsburg, though, got the gamewinning run on a homer by Candice Pastor in the bottom of the sixth. Bloomsburg did get its leadoff runner on in the seventh, but could not score.

The Huskies are 26-12, 9-5 in the PSAC East, while East Stroudsburg is now 24-17, 8-6 in the PSAC East.

Bloomsburg will host Shippensburg on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
